Shotguns and Stilettos is a multi-day celebration of
shopping, shooting and socializing. The
two weekends of fun include the Spring Fling Shopping Market, Girls’ Night out
Preview Party, Ladies’ Luncheon, Children’s Event, Clay Shoot and the Buckshot
Bash. Remember, this event is the only
major fundraiser for The Junior League of Midland, Inc.
Girls’ Night Out Preview Party kicks off the fundraising
weekend. Attendees will have the first
shot at the merchandise from our vendors plus light appetizers and cocktails,
of course. Every ticket holder will receive a shopping bag which allows free
entry into the market for the weekend. The
Market will be held at the new Horseshoe Pavilion on March 19th from
6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
Spring Fling Shopping Market hours are Friday March 20th
and Saturday March 21st from 10:00 am – 6:30 pm and Sunday March 22nd
from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Horseshoe Pavilion. Come shop for your home, family and friends
all in one place.
The Ladies’ Luncheon will be a great time to get away with your friends for an enjoyable lunch and an afternoon of shopping. We are hosting the fantastic Jill Conner Browne, the Sweet Potato Queen from Jackson, MS. Todd Brown’s Catering is providing a delicious lunch, cocktails and dessert. The lunch will be held at the Horseshoe Pavilion on Friday March 20th from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm.
The ever popular Bunny Brunch Children’s Event will be on
Saturday March 21st from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm at the Horseshoe
Pavilion. Again this year we will have
the Easter Bunny for pictures, a petting zoo, a magic show by Harlin, balloon
animals, Greenie the Clown will be face painting, plus a full meal for parents
and the kiddos catered by Chef Michael.
Clay Shoot will be at Jake’s Clays again on Friday, March 27th. There are two shooting flights, the morning
flight at 9:00 am and the afternoon flight goes off at 1:00 pm. Join us for breakfast at 8:30 am before the
shoot. Lunch will be provided at 11:30
am while we announce the winners of the door prizes. As always, one in eight shooters will win a
fantastic prize.
You will not want to miss John Michael Montgomery performing
at the Buckshot Bash on Saturday March 28th! The silent and live
auctions are packed full of fantastic items and wonderful trips. Don Strange of San Antonio is catering a
delicious meal, offering beef tenderloin or mesquite grilled chicken. Come relax and enjoy a memorable concert all
while supporting our community projects.
Doors will open at 6:00 pm.
