Book: The Titanic Disaster
Author: Peter Benoit
Review: The Titanic Disaster is about the sinking
of the RMS Titanic ship after colliding with an iceberg in the North Atlantic
Ocean. The Titanic was the largest passenger ship in the world. The Titanic
left England for New York City with 2,435 passengers and 900 crew members. The
lookout in the crow’s nest didn’t have any binoculars and didn’t see the
iceberg in time to warn the captain. The ship ran into the iceberg on the
starboard side. The ship began to fill with water quickly. The Titanic only had
20 lifeboats that could fit half of the passengers and crew. The Titanic
quickly fills with ice-cold water. The bow goes down first, the stern rose out
of the water, and the ship stood straight up in the air before it broke two
pieces. The “unsinkable ship” sank at 2:17 am on April 15, 1912 and 1,517
people died.
